Day 1: Krakow
Get to know your trip mates and start the day with a walking tour of incredible Krakow or a day trip to Auschwitz. Discover the stunning castle district, Jewish quarter and the gorgeous old town with us, or witness a very recent history at the most infamous concentration camp of the Nazi regime. If you opt for the walking tour check out the Royal Salt Mines, get festive amongst the traditional stalls and crafts of the Christmas market or explore the streets and shops of this amazing city during your free afternoon before we head down to the funky Kazimierz district for some pre-xmas spirit tonight.
Day 2: Krakow
Today we head to Auschwitz and Birkenau, the infamous Nazi concentration camps of the Second World War, where an expert guide will explain the tragic events of the time and open our eyes to a very recent history. For those who visited yesterday today's your chance to do the famous Krakow walking tour and discover more of this beautiful city, before we all meet up this evening for our welcome party at Diva nightclub, and a night to remember in the heart of Krakow.
Day 3: Krakow - Zakopane
An early start today as we head to stunning, snowy Zakopane. After check in we'll immerse you in the Alpine Christmas spirit of gorgeous Zakopane. Tonight we’ll have a traditional Polish Christmas meal and you can head to Midnight mass, an important Polish tradition and a unique and unforgettable experience.
Day 4: Zakopane - Christmas Day
A real white Christmas in the heart of the East! Today it’s all about good food, wine and great company as we celebrate Christmas together with a traditional feast with all the trimmings. First there’s time for a ski, then it’s warming goulash around the fire as night time falls before digging in to our main meal, loads of hot mulled wine and an awesome good time together with your trip mates.
Day 5: Zakopane - Budapest
From the snowy slopes to the sparkling city, today we head to Budapest with a stop en-route in Donovally; one of Slovakia’s best ski regions, for an adrenalin-pumping toboggan run and lunch. We arrive in beautiful Budapest in the early evening for an orientation drive and then we head to the river for a night cruise down the Danube. Wannabe pop stars get set to test your singing skills with on-board Karaoke, whilst the photographers amongst us can get their cameras at the ready for beautiful Budapest by night; an awesome sight and gorgeous finale to our Boxing Day adventures.
Day 6: Budapest
Budapest lays waiting to be discovered and the day is yours to explore. Melt your cares away at the thermal baths or unwind those snowboarding muscles with a massage. Explore the cobbled streets and winding alleys with the Busabout hop on, hop off coach tour, whilst shopaholics discover the gorgeous boutiques and grab a bargain or two at the Christmas Sales, or head underground with a caving tour and spend the afternoon people-watching in the uber-cool café district – whatever you fancy there’s something for everyone here, and your guide has all the info to make sure you make the most of your time in this incredible city.
Day 7: Budapest - Vienna
From Budapest we head in to stunning Slovakia for a wander through the cobbled streets and lunch in the capital, Bratislava. Then it’s on to Vienna, city of Strauss, Schnitzel and seriously good coffee, and a visit to the famous Schnapps museum for the chance to try some Bulls blood!
Day 8: Vienna
Gluhwein, Christmas markets, the Opera, museums, schnapps…the wonders of Vienna await and it’s a free day for you to explore. Warm up with delicious hot Gluhwein at the Christmas markets, take a trip to the world famous Spanish Riding School, witness a stunning Viennese concert or while away the day people watching in one of the many cafés of the 1st district.
Day 9: Vienna - Cesky Krumlov
From Vienna we head to the beautiful Wachau Valley where we’ll taste local wine and explore medieval Durnstein en-route to the Czech Republic, and the hidden gem that is Cesky Krumlov. On arrival we’ll explore this gorgeous ancient town in the heart of beautiful Bohemia before dinner and an evening of traditional food, ready for an early start tomorrow and the party paradise of Prague.
Day 10: Cesky Krumlov - Prague
New Year’s Eve and Prague is our destination! We’ll get on the road early and head the short distance to Prague, ready for an orientation walk of some of the highlights of this awesome city. As evening falls and the celebrations begin we’ll head out in to town for the amazing fireworks over the Vltava River and partying galore in some of the city’s best night spots, ready to celebrate the last night of our tour and the start of a whole New Year, Busabout style…
