Seafood and morning markets
In terms of coastal towns Split would rank highly on anyone’s list as it typifies that brightness and sweet sea scents of the coast. The town boasts a lively old section where the small tiny streets of marble look they’ve been shined by an army armed with Mr Proper. The seafood on offer is tantalisingly good, Saturday morning is ablaze with markets and local people and the port hosts a flotilla of sailing vessels. The town also has an engrossing history to boot!
As this is where we spend our last night on the Classic rhapsody trek and Croatian sailing products we tend to really squeeze every last breath of goodness from this destination.
