Day 1 : Budapest – Plitvice
After breakfast at the Marco Polo hostel we head out of Budapest and onto the UNESCO listed Plitvice National Park, via Lake Balaton where a morning swim goes down a treat. The Balkan open air war museum sets a dramatic real life portrait of the Balkan war of the early 1990's, your guide will give you a complete tour of the park before arriving into the National Park at sunset. Accommodation is in bungalows, in the national park, right in the middle of this aqua wonderland.
Day 2 : Plitvice – Split
We are the first in the park in the morning which means you get to wander through this amazing aqua wonderland before the crowds descend. The cascading waterfalls and aqua green lakes will leave you ready for the Croatian coast. We spend the whole morning in the national park and then set off on a memorable drive to the Croatian coast and a night out in the cosmopolitan town of Split.
Day 3 : Split
You are free to travel on. Please don't forget our One Way Sail Croatia or the Balkan Trek. Both depart Split on a Saturday.
