Day 1: Cluj – Sighisoara – Brasov
Your tour starts in Cluj, the most important cultural center in the heart of Transylvania. After a walking tour of Cluj we set off for Sighisoara the birth place of Dracula. Here we’ll attempt to trace the life and times of Transylvanians most impressive leader. EN route to Brasov we will stop in Maierus, one of best multicultural villages, representing three ethnic groups: Romanians, Gypsies and Saxons. This will give you a chance to get close to the locals and really witness first hand their lifestyles. Arrival in Brasov, dinner in the old town .
Day 2: Brasov
After breakfast, we’ll tour out to Prejmer, one of the most impressive fortified churches in Romania. This monument is fascinating and will re kindle childhood memories of castles and forts. Arriving back in Brasov its time to explore the city and its incredible history with a walking tour. Brasov remains Transylvania’s most popular attraction with its blue stone churches and its roaming bear population. We like to give you the afternoon at leisure in Brasov to shop and sightsee at your speed.
Day 3: Brasov
After breakfast we’ll embark on Transylvania’s big day out touring around Dracula’s castle and Peles palace. This stunning collection of historical architecture and artwork as well as Dracula’s castle will surely amaze you. You will not see as many fantastically preserved sights on your travels as within these 2 top attractions. The originality of the furnishings and the stories of past glory will amaze you. Overnight in Brasov.
Day 4: Brasov - Sibiel
After breakfast, we departure for Sibiu for some sightseeing of this enchanted city. Tonight we stay traditional in a typical Transylvanian home and will enjoy a traditional home cooked specialty from your local host. Once again we are doing our very best to get you up close to local traditions and you will certainly feel after this day that you know the culture a lot better than before you travelled. Evening meal is included tonight.
Day 5: Sibiel – Mountain Challet
Breakfast and a visit to the largest glass icon museum in Romania. We will then introduce you to the beautiful Sunset Carpathians Mountains. Tonight we stay in the heart of rural Transylvania with plenty of local interaction. The blazen colours of these mountains will have you going for the digital camera; it is a great chance to relax and meet some quality volk and enter their world. It is like time has stopped here. Overnight in a mountain chalet with a hearty mountain dinner included in the tour price.
Day 6: Mountain Challet - Cluj
Our last day tours us back through magnificent natural wonders, the Turda gorge, waterfalls, caves and top local villages before arriving back in Cluj in the evening for the last dinner. You will also have a chance to shop for those precious items for family and loved ones in the afternoon in Cluj.
